Evidence policy

How Pali Fieldbook separates sourced fact, reconstruction, freshness, and unknowns.

These policies apply to the Pali Fieldbook production service. Provider checkout terms and rights required by applicable law also apply.

Vocabulary

  • Verified: the named fact passed its stated source check.
  • Partial: useful evidence with a material gap.
  • Inferred: a reconstruction or model-derived value, not direct observation.
  • Freshness: a time-sensitive fact whose review date matters.
  • Unknown: Pali Fieldbook deliberately makes no current assertion.
  • Held: preserved for review but not eligible for current operational guidance.

Release gate

Each premium place keeps source time, retrieval time, review state, landmark accuracy class, and an operational release state. A candidate can remain protected and testable while current access or safety claims stay held.

Corrections

A credible correction should identify the place, claim, source, and observation date. Safety-sensitive reports enter urgent triage; disputed evidence is held until re-reviewed.
